I am originally from Knoxville, TN where I attended Knoxville Catholic High School and later went on to complete my undergraduate degree at the University of North Georgia. While serving in the U.S. Army, I completed graduate school at Columbus State University before continuing on at South College here in Knoxville, TN where I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

I have several years of experience as a fitness trainer working with adolescents and adults in functional fitness and sports settings in addition to physical therapy in the outpatient orthopedics setting. I am an Institute of Clinical Excellence Certified Specialist in Orthopedics, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the NSCA, a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer, a USAW Level 1 Weightlifting Coach, an Emergency Medical Responder for Acute Athletic Injury and Illness, a concussion rehab specialist and certified in neurological dry needling. Additionally, I serve as adjunct faculty with the Institute of Clinical Excellence Spine division and adjunct faculty with South College.

I am also a veteran having served 10 years in the United States Army including 2 overseas deployments and achieving the rank of Captain with positions held including Company Commander, Search and Rescue Team leader and Task Force Operations Plans Officer.

My core values are: To help people live their lives without limitations and to change the world one person at a time.

“Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.”
– Oscar Wilde

I’m passionate about working with people who have a variety of musculoskeletal complaints. My primary areas of focus are neck , low back, hip, shoulder, knee and foot. I understand the fear that can come with your life being suddenly limited by pain and the feeling that your independence is being taken from you. I help people live their lives free of limitations from pain and disability.

What I love about working here I truly believe that Simply Physio does physical therapy the way it was intended. We pride ourselves on delivering exclusive and attentive care that delivers every time. We strive to demonstrate value to our patients and leverage all of our tools to get them better. We provide specialist physical therapy for active individuals and help them return to the things they love doing.

When not working I love exercise and lifting weights, spending time with my wife and son, golfing, boating, and video games.
