Simply Physio wants everyone, including people using assistive technology such as a screen reader, screen magnifier, or keyboard-only navigation, to be able to find our services, learn about our team, and request an appointment on this site.
Conformance target
We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard most commonly referenced by U.S. accessibility law. This is an ongoing goal rather than a one-time certification: as we add or change pages, we review them against the same standard.
Measures we’ve taken
- Semantic HTML landmarks, a logical heading structure, and a “skip to main content” link on every page.
- Keyboard access to every menu, form, and interactive control, including a trapped, escapable focus for the mobile menu and visible focus indicators throughout.
- Specific, descriptive alt text on meaningful images, and hidden decorative icons so screen readers don’t announce visual noise.
- Form fields with real labels, plainly stated requirements, and error messages that are announced to assistive technology, not shown by color alone.
- Text and interface colors checked against WCAG’s contrast requirements.
- Motion and auto-playing content that respects your operating system’s “reduce motion” setting and that you can pause.
- Core content, including our FAQ answers and primary navigation, that remains readable if a script fails to load.
Known limitations
A few parts of this site rely on services we don’t build ourselves, and we can’t guarantee their accessibility to the same standard:
- Google Maps embeds on our location sections are provided by Google. If the embedded map is difficult to use with your assistive technology, every location on this site also lists the full street address and a direct link to open it in Google Maps in a new tab, plus a phone number to reach us.
- Our Google review widget, powered by Elfsight, displays reviews pulled live from Google. We’ve configured it to load only when needed, but we do not control its internal markup.
