Sound Familiar?

Does this sound like you?

  • A spinning sensation that hits when you roll over in bed or look up
  • Feeling off-balance for hours after the room “stops” spinning
  • Avoiding certain movements, bending down, turning your head fast, because you know what happens
  • Lightheaded or foggy in ways that don’t match any explanation you’ve been given
  • Canceling plans because you’re not sure today’s a “safe” day to drive
  • Being told it’s “just stress” or “just getting older” when it clearly isn’t

Why It Happens

Dizziness is a symptom. Something causes it.

Dizziness deserves real medical attention, and it almost always has a specific, findable cause. It’s usually one of a few culprits: an inner ear problem that’s thrown off your vestibular system. A medication side effect. A vision issue your brain is struggling to reconcile. Your brain and inner ear simply falling out of sync after an illness or injury.

That’s why we don’t guess. A real, thorough evaluation sorts out which of those is actually driving your symptoms, and if something needs a physician’s eyes first, we’ll help you get there. Vestibular therapy is the mechanism that retrains the mismatch once we know what we’re dealing with. Find the real cause, and the fix gets obvious.

The Honest Truth

Waiting on dizziness doesn’t make it settle on its own.

If you keep waiting

  • You keep avoiding driving, turning your head, or errands that might trigger it
  • Unexplained dizziness that goes unaddressed raises real fall and safety risk
  • Your brain and inner ear stay out of sync instead of relearning to work together

If you start this week

  • You get a real evaluation to find out what’s actually causing it, and whether anything needs a physician’s eyes first
  • Vestibular therapy starts retraining the mismatch from visit one
  • You get a plan with an endpoint: a real one, not an open tab of visits

Nobody regrets starting too early. Every week, someone in our clinic says they regret waiting.

How We Fix It

The same four phases. Built to stop the spinning.

Every plan has an endpoint. Here’s what the four phases look like for dizziness and vertigo.

Weeks 1–2

Pain

Calm the spinning down.

A thorough evaluation identifies what’s actually driving the spinning, whether it’s your inner ear, your vision, or a medication side effect, and hands-on vestibular techniques start calming it your very first visit.

Weeks 2–4

Prime

Get your motion back.

Targeted vestibular exercises retrain your brain and inner ear to work together again.

Weeks 4–6

Perform

Make it strong enough to trust.

Progressive balance training rebuilds confidence moving your head and body without triggering symptoms.

Weeks 6+

Prevent

Return better than before.

Driving, exercising, and daily head movement get tested under real conditions before you’re cleared to go all-in: that’s the endpoint, not just another appointment.

One-on-one time, a real evaluation, and a plan with an endpoint: that’s what keeps patients coming back and referring their family.

Questions, Answered

What people ask before booking for dizziness and vertigo.

Dizziness deserves real medical attention. If your symptoms are sudden, severe, or come with other neurological signs, please see a physician or go to urgent care first. For ongoing or recurring dizziness once anything urgent has been ruled out, vestibular therapy is often exactly the right next step, and we’ll always refer you out if we find something outside our scope.

Yes, and it’s done in small, controlled doses that are supervised the entire time, not something you’re sent home to guess at. Vestibular therapy works in part because it retrains your brain and inner ear through carefully dosed movement, one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, every visit.

It varies quite a bit depending on the cause. Some people feel dramatically better after just one or two visits, while inner ear conditions with a longer history can take longer. A full plan runs through all four phases, Pain, Prime, Perform, and Prevent, typically over several weeks. You’ll always know which phase you’re in and what’s left, not an open-ended string of appointments.
